June 10-September 30, 2023

"Alert!" is a collaborative exhibition that brings together two French artists with complementary approaches: Sandra Guilbot, known as Sandrot, and Elisabeth Daynès.

This exhibition questions this new Anthropocene era.

Sandrot , born in 1989 in Marseille, became known for her monumental works depicting brightly colored animals. Her art, inspired by nature, serves to raise public awareness of animal rights and endangered species. Working closely with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), she uses her talent to highlight the impact of humans on wildlife.

Elisabeth Daynès , born in 1960 in Béziers, is a sculptor and visual artist specializing in the reconstruction of prehistoric humans. Her unique background, combining anthropology and art, allows her to create life-size characters in hyperrealistic silicone of remarkable precision. Her work invites reflection on human evolution and our capacity for self-criticism.

The exhibition "Alert! " was born from the meeting of these two artists, who combined their talents to take a critical look at the impact of humanity on society and the environment. Sandrot brings her colorful and powerful vision of endangered wildlife, while Elisabeth Daynès offers a historical and anthropological perspective through her human reconstructions.

The project draws on the scientific approach of the French Committee of the IUCN, bringing an educational and factual dimension to the exhibition. An expert conference was organized to explore the themes covered in more depth, thus strengthening the link between art and science.

This unique exhibition combines the striking aesthetics of Sandrot's works with the scientific precision of Elisabeth Daynès' creations, offering visitors an immersive and reflective experience on our relationship with nature and our own history.
