Banksy – Art that shows solidarity / May 31 – June 15, 2025

If Banksy fiercely guards his identity, it is undoubtedly because he wants above all to highlight the struggles he is waging. A committed and pacifist artist, he has left his mark on strategic locations in the political world: from the "Wall of Shame" in the West Bank, separating Israelis and Palestinians, to the financing of the "Louise Michel" boat, which came to the aid of migrants in the Mediterranean. His stencils, both poetic and striking, are invitations to break down divisions, to question our contradictions and to look at the world differently.

The Banksy Modeste Collection's mission is to share with the public the career and commitments of this now internationally renowned artist. After two years of preparation, Parcelle473 had the honor of welcoming nearly 280 works—originals, screen prints, photographs, and documents—in an immersive exhibition.

The exhibition was accompanied by mediations, with guided tours and sequences reserved for schoolchildren from 8 years old and groups, allowing everyone to enter into dialogue with the work.

But this project was also itinerant and charitable. Admission was free, because for the BMC, access to culture is not optional. Visitors could, if they wished, make a donation. In exchange, each received a souvenir: a collector's poster of the exhibition or, depending on the amount, a screen print specially produced for the event.

At the end of the exhibition, part of the profits was donated to more than thirty local partner associations, including SOS Méditerranée, all working with the most vulnerable people.

For two weeks, Parcelle473 became the scene of a rare encounter: a moment where Banksy's art combined with solidarity, reminding us that culture can be beautiful, accessible, and engaged.
